Connecting the dots
I believe in the rippling effect of service. What goes around comes around.
Last night my wife and I had dinner with a dear friend. In passing, she mentioned that she just installed a new air conditioning unit in her house. It had been broken for a while and a couple of weeks ago the heat just became unbearable. She was trying to get someone to look into it--she could only find one company open on that scorching weekend.
The sales rep who showed up in her house was skilled, pleasant and provided really good service.
"He was really careful," my friend said. "He measured the windows sizes, did all the calculations to make sure that I will end up with the right AC. I don't ever remember another sales rep who did that."
Then, they talked. She found out that Bruce is also a supporter and a trainer of Diversity Council.
"Oh really," Onea asked. "Do you know Al Lun, by chance?"
"Of course," said Bruce. "We worked together on technology stuff for Diversity Council's Corporate Training program."
That's what I would call one good thing leading to another. Maybe that is what transcendental leadership is all about.
