Up to Table of Contents

As creator (owner) of Page, Folder, File, Rich Document content types, I notice the State indicator shows options such as Internal Draft, Internally Published, Externally Published, etc. what do the different States mean?

DC3 is built on Plone. Plone allows the Admin (AL Lun) in this case to configure the access behaviors of various content types.  In the case of the base content types, such as Event, Folder, File, Page, Rich Document, DC3 has been configured per the following:

4. Externally Published:  Anyone can see.  They don't have to log in.

3. Internally Published:  Logged-in DC3 users can see. No exceptions.

2. Internally Draft: Logged-in DC3 users can see by default. But you can change the "Sharing" properties to limit who can see.

1. Private: Only You and the DC3 Admin can see by default.  However, you can change the "Sharing" properties to limit who can see.
