DC Board IT Task Force to give a talk per the following:
"We are piloting an intuitive web-based tool (we call the DCCC site) at the Diversity Council (DC) we'd like to share. This interactive tool provides information broadcasting, knowledge management, and social networking services. For instance, it provides a calendar of events, information about DC operations, as well as the DC's strategic concepts, plans and efforts. People at all levels use this tool to build shared understandings about diversity needs, provide a way to get involved, and learn about what involved people are doing. It also fulfills a common need across organizations in the community to communicate more effectively and efficiently about many diverse and evolving ideas, experiences, and programs/projects relating to diversity. Ultimately, we envision the tool to help facilitate progress toward correcting misconceptions, bridging gaps and to lift interest in diversity to be a mainstay and highlight of our culture.
We offer this prototype as an initiative perhaps Mayo could benefit from internally as well as communally."
Notes from the meeting
Asok and I presented DCCC to Mayo Allied Health Diversity Committee.
We used the following presentation and spliced in with live demo. There were interests from the meeting to further collaborate. They were very interested in the concept of partnership that we showed per this link. They felt the upcoming Race Exhibits could be a proof point.
